About the Trip

Hi, Everyone!
Thanks for reading my blog from Germany! Here's some starter information about this adventure:

Some facts about the trip:
I am going to be staying in a town called Konigslutter.
The boy that I am staying with is named Jakob. He has a 17 year old sister named Hannah. Jakob and Hannah have a mother and a father and they do not have any pets.
Jakob goes to a school called Gymnasium Julianum in the town of Helmstedt.
There are about 15 students going on the trip with 2 teachers (who have been leading the program for a long time). We are also accompanied by our principal who went on the trip last year.
The whole trip, including traveling, will take us 11 days.

Things I am excited about:
THE FOOD
The history
The culture
Finding out what kids my age do for fun
Trying to speak German with vendors

I wanted to go on this trip because, after traveling to Europe this summer, I was itching to get back. I signed up to host an exchange student last spring, not really knowing much about it. Having Jakob stay with us for two weeks was an absolute blast and it was great to experience another culture mixed with my own. I became friends with a lot of the exchange students as well as the hosts, and I knew that going on the trip would be the best way to make even more connections.
